Get A DJ! Get A DJ! from Music On Tap DJ Service It wasn't that long
ago, that those very words echoed from local radio stations like WKTI,
WKLH, WMIL, and WZUU. Some of those stations are gone now, but that was
how Music On Tap got it's start. Our "Get A DJ" ad campaign rang out
loud and clear, and helped us become one of the top DJ services in
Milwaukee County.
Our DJ's were picked up by local clubs, during the time when having "DJ" placed in front of ones name didn't yet exist. It was just plain old Dan and John in those days. |
| We rocked the house at clubs like TA
Verns, Confetti's, Amelias, The Red Rooster, Catcher's Pub, Innegans,
Winchesters, and Sippn's Pub. All the while doing weddings and private
parties in between. Over that period of time we've developed a style for doing weddings and parties that is unique from most wedding and party DJs. While, yes, we do all the traditional dances and introductions of the bridal party members, as well as the usual group participation dances, and some more unusual dances and mixers. Our energy is focused on dancing. As one of our customers once said, "You made them dance their A** off"! We play a wide variety of music in such a way to keep the oldsters and youngsters having fun, and losing track of time. The night passes by quickly, when you're having fun. We always do our best to play all the crowd requests we can. Usually the songs requested are already a planned part of the nights programming. However we do steer away from songs that are inappropriate, or would just kill the energy of the party. It never fails to amaze us that so many DJs are still playing the same music list that they were playing back in the 1980's. Sure some songs are timeless, we still play the oldies, but we have incorporated many newer songs. Our policy is not to leave a genre of music untouched, that is except for some current rap that just has no place at a family gathering. We play music for the rockers, as long as it's danceable, country, disco, soul, R & B, techno, polkas, swing, blues, pop.. Whatever it takes to make the party happen. We bring professional sound equipment, lights and music for the price of $499.00. That price includes 2 hours of free Cocktail/Dinner music before we get the party started. Did I mention that Music On Tap was the first DJ service in Milwaukee to include free Cocktail or Dinner music as part of the package. We didn't charge extra for it then and we don't now. Our DJ's will dress appropriate for your affair. However, our policy has always been not to wear tuxedos. Dressing your wedding party takes time and costs alot of money, it's your special day and your wedding party should stand out. The DJ shouldn't look like he is part of the wedding party. That's why we don't wear tuxedos. We are entertainers, and we will dress nicely for your event.
